Touching the Lord in All Circumstances, even Mundane Ones, Anonymous It was supposed to just be an ordinary day in the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA), but on this day I was roused out of my sleep at 5:15 a.m. I thought there must be some mistake because wake-up time is at 6:00 a.m. I was roused out of my sleep by the sound of the coffee maker grinding coffee beans. Then I remembered that someone in the house had breakfast preparation service that day and had to leave by 5:45 a.m. At that moment I was very vexed thinking how inconsiderate my housemate was. He should have known better not to disturb others, especially at 5:15 in the morning. Then I realized that instead of complaining I could call on the name of the Lord. So I started calling inwardly and little by little my disdain turned to peace. I was no longer bothered by the fact that I was woken up before the scheduled time. I could really feel the Lord's presence within me being my peace and rest. The best part is that by calling on the Lord so early in the morning, it set the tone for the rest of that day. I can honestly say that nothing bothered me; I felt that God was with me all the time. The FTTA helped me learn to turn to my spirit in normal, every day matters. I can touch my spirit not only when reading the Bible or preaching the gospel, I can touch it when waking up or walking to the training center also.
